Annie Jones Aldridge

Mrs. Annie Mildred Cooley Jones Aldridge, 92, formerly of 2546 Jones Country Trail, died Friday, October 29, 2010, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, November 1, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Durham County, NC, Mrs. Aldridge was born April 27, 1918, the daughter of the late William Randolph Cooley and Lula Jane Edwards Cooley. As the wife of a minister, she was a mentor to several generations of young people. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Walter L. Jones and her second husband, John Aldridge. Surviving are her daughter, Lillian Flowers and husband, Oscar, of Texarkana, TX; sons, Louis Jones, of Asheboro, NC, Rev. George Robert Jones and wife, Ann, of Lynchburg, VA, Stephen Paul Jones and wife, Mitzi, of Maryland; caregiver, Mr. Jean Jessup, of Ramseur; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Monday, November 1, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home.
