Anna Speagle

Lillian Anna Speagle, 69, formerly of Randleman, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Sandy Ridge Memory Care and Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Craven officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, she was the beloved daughter of the late James C. and Lillian C. Speagle. She had a gentle and kind spirit. Her sweet personality was loved by her family and friends, who she made readily. She enjoyed music, crocheting, flowers, gardening in her youth, and caring for her cats, especially Fred. In addition to her parents, Ms. Speagle was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, James C. and Dee C. Speagle. Ms. Speagle is survived by her sisters, Mary S. Wood and Barbara D. Speagle, both of Randleman; brother, John L. Speagle of Julian; and nephew, Page A. Speagle. Also surviving are a great-niece, Cheyanne; a great-nephew, Wyatt; a special cousin, Hilda B. Litaker; a special family friend, Denise Caughron; and numerous other cousins. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service. The family will also receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
