Mrs. Anna "Rose" Hill Ashworth, 89, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at Alpine Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Crestview Wesleyan Church, where she was an active member, with Pastor Jerry Johnson, Pastor Allen Murray, and Evangelist Michael Trogdon officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Rose was born in Montgomery Co., NC, on July 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Brantley Harris Hill and Lola Hamilton Hill. Rose was raised in Troy, NC, and had worked for many years at Asheboro High School in the cafeteria, and at Becky's of Asheboro. She was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, step-mom, and step-grandmother. She loved her family and loved giving and receiving hugs.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Bernice Raleigh Ashworth, and her brothers, Junie Hill and Robert Hill.
She is survived by her sisters, Grace (Sonny) Murray, Arlene Freeman; brother, Gilbert (Frankie) Hill; sister-in-law, Gwen Hill; stepson, Jerold Ashworth; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Jimmy) Hunt; and many nieces and nephews.
She would like to thank her niece Lisa and nephew Allen for being with her and helping her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., at Crestview Wesleyan Church, prior to the funeral service, and other times at the home of Grace and Sonny Murray.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Randolph and Alpine Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care given to her over the last seven months.
