Angela Morales

Angela Moreno-Franandez Morales, 91, of Asheboro, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Born on December 17, 1934, in Cuba, Angela was the daughter of the late Vincente Moreno-Coll and Isabel Fernandez-Ballester. She retired from Brinks as a security guard. Angela enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting socks for newborn babies and doing word search puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her brother, Fausto Moreno-Coll and her sister, Isabel Moreno-Coll.

Surviving are her daughter, Angela Viera (Francisco); grandchildren, Rafael Viera (Christie), Robert Viera, Josephine Viera Cooper (Ryan); and great grandchildren, Megan Viera-Land, Emilio Viera, Adrianna Viera, Delaney Viera, Prynce Viera, and Jeremiah Cooper.

The family will receive friend from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
