Andrew "Andy" Carter, born on May 18, 1990, passed away on January 15, 2026, leaving a warm and joyful legacy.

Andy faced many challenges early in life, having a difficult birth and various health problems. However, after reaching the age of 5, he turned a corner and enjoyed a stable health and life.

Andy was known for his playful spirit and love of simple pleasures. He found happiness in playing with his stuffed animals and toys, with his favorite being Lamby. Music brought him joy, and he loved when others would sing to him, often responding with his bright smile and delightful laughter.

Andy attended Asheboro City Schools and finished Asheboro High School, earning a certificate through the special education department. He was a treasured presence in the lives of those who knew him, often described as a beloved "kid brother."

He had a special bond with his Certified Nursing Assistants, Lily, Vickie, Deb, Jessica, and Diane, who played significant roles in his care. Their support and kindness contributed greatly to the quality of Andy's life.

Although Andy was unable to communicate verbally, his radiant smile had a way of brightening everyone's day, reminding all who met him of the joy and positivity he brought into the world. He will be dearly missed and remembered for the love and light he shared with so many.

Andy is survived by his, father, Gregory Carter married to Renee Carter; paternal grandma, Inez Carter; uncle, Christopher Carter and Christopher's wife Brenda; brothers, Kennedy Carter and Jakob Carter; stepsisters, Kaitlyn Williamson and Hailey Williamson. Nephews and nieces and many cousins. On his mother's side, Susan Davis. maternal grandmother, Shirley Halsey and husband Ira Cecil Halsey. Susan's stepbrother, Ira Cecil Halsey Jr. "Junior" wife, Kathy Halsey and stepsister, Lisa White, husband David White and many cousins.

Andy is preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Buelin Carter.
