Alvin Williamson

Alvin Barrett Williamson, 78, of Asheboro, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend earned his angel wings and went home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He loved his heavenly Father and is at peace now with no more sickness or pain. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at Oakhurst Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Hudson and Rhonda Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Giles Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born November 2, 1937 in Moore County, Mr. Williamson was the son of the late Anderson and Ila Williamson. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and took every opportunity to brag on his family. Mr. Williamson was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, he enjoyed his Sunday School Class, working with the youth at the church and meeting and greeting new people. He never met a stranger and loved unconditionally. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Marion and Rowena Horner; and four brothers, Shelton, James, Andrew and Bernard Williamson. Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Sybil D. Williamson of the home;, daughters, Tana Renee Hronek of Charlotte and Tori S. Snider of Asheboro;, sons, Timothy C. Williamson and Tait Williamson, both of Asheboro;, sister, Jeanette Johnson of Southern Pines; and grandchildren, Shad T. Williamson, Trew B. Williamson, Mason G. Williamson, Trace A. Williamson, Haley Hronek, Alex Hronek, Sage Snider and Kolby Snider. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Oakhurst Baptist Church.
