Allene Crotts Summey

Mrs. Allene Ella Crotts Summey, 85, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Randolph Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum with Rev. Billy Joe Yates officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Summey was born August 17, 1928. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Crotts and Covie Ella Hunt Crotts. She was retired from Burlington Socks, Balfour Plant, and was also a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Summey was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Allene Summey. Mrs. Summey is survived by her husband, William Astor Summey, of the home; son, William Lee Summey and wife, Harriett, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Dana Moose and husband, Whit Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Brent Summey and wife, Kimrey, of Asheboro, NC, great grandchildren, Jacob Moose, KayDee Summey; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Randolph Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum and other times at the home.
