Allen Hunt

Roy Allen Hunt, Sr., 41, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church, Asheboro, NC, with Dr. Jody Harrison and Rev. Wayne Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Hunt was born July 10, 1973. He had attended Southwestern Randolph High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool with his best friend, Travis Latham. He was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by the love of his life, Paula Hunt. Mr. Hunt is survived by his daughter, Tarha Atkins and husband, Josh, of Asheboro, NC; son, A.J. Hunt, of Asheboro, NC; parents, Odis and Patsy Hunt, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Jennifer Howell and husband, Chad, of Asheboro, NC, Donna Daughtry and husband, Richard, of Smithfield, NC; granddaughter, Sophia Atkins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro, NC.
