Alice Jeanette Goldston, 71, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Stouts Chapel United Methodist Church, Ramseur, with Rev. Paul Bethel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Ms. Goldston was born December 3, 1946 to the late Hurley and Ethel Goldston. She was a member of Stouts United Methodist Church. Ms. Goldston worked at Randolph Vocational Workshop for 43 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sally Goldston and Martha Siler; and brother, Charles Goldston. Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Foxx and husband, Douglas of Charlotte; sisters, Elnora Siler of Siler City, Doretha Joan McCormick of Asheboro, Katie Laughlin of Asheboro; brothers, Clarence "C.H." Goldston and wife, Shirley of Ramseur, Henry LaRue Goldston and wife, Ruth of Greensboro; granddaughters, Shanice Foxx and Briana Foxx; and great-grandchildren, Justice Foxx and Jurnee Foxx. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Stouts United Methodist Church, prior to the service.
