Alice C. Alexander

Mrs. Alice Walker Cagle Alexander, 72, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Alexander was born September 10, 1938. She was the daughter of Jesse Calvin Cagle and Martha Hurley Cagle. She had worked at Arrow International. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hicks, and her brother, Arthur Cagle. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband, Bill Alexander, of the home; son, David Hicks, of Asheboro, NC; step-son, Tommy Alexander, of Statesville, NC; daughter-in-law, Connie Hicks, of Randleman, NC; sister, Magdalene Voncannon, of Star, NC; grandchildren, Michelle Hicks, Brandon Hicks, Allison Hicks, "Doodlebug" Hicks, Anita Hicks, Melissa Alexander, Brian Alexander; eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
