Alfred G. Moroughan

Mr. Alfred Gordon Moroughan, 65, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Union Grove United Christian Church with Rev. Garry Reeder officiating. A native of Harrisville, NY, Mr. Moroughan was born July 4, 1946. He was the son of the late Robert Gordon Moroughan and Edna Whitney Moroughan. He had worked for Climax Mfg. and had served in the US Army during Vietnam. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moroughan was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Moroughan, and her three children. Mr. Moroughan is survived by his wife, whom he married October 11, 1969 in Carthage, NY, Noreen Moroughan, of the home; daughter, Dawn Moroughan, of Archdale, NC; sons, Benjamin Moroughan, of Randleman, NC, Gordon Moroughan and wife, Ruby Ann Curry Moroughan, of Asheboro, NC; four grandchildren.
