Albertha Thompson Hunt

Mrs. Albertha Thompson Hunt, 92, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hunt was born February 7, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Gurnie Thompson and Lillie Rich Thompson. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and attended Mt. View Independent Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Hunt; brother, Woodrow Thompson; and sister, Emaira Shofe. Mrs. Hunt is survived by son, Calvin Hunt and wife, Linda, of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Amanda Hunt, of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Michael Hodgin and wife, Jenny, of Asheboro, NC; and great granddaughter, Katie Hodgin, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 1740 Mt. View Church Road, Asheboro, NC. The family would like to thank the staff at the Randolph Hospice House and the staff at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation for the care given to Albertha.
