Alberta Threadgill

Alberta Garner Threadgill, 87, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brent Tysinger officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born August 26, 1930 in Randolph County, Mrs. Threadgill was the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche Garner. She attended Rushwood Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Garner; sisters, Lula Garner, Peggy Rush and Dorothy McDowell. Survivors include her husband, Charles Threadgill of the home; daughters, Treva Sturgill (Michael) of Raleigh, Hilda Luther (Terry) and Lynn Fowler (James), all of Asheboro; sister, Helen Garner (Donald) of New London; grandchildren, Dale Luther (Teresa), Marcie Cooper (Randy), Katie Edmondson (Michael), Clay Sturgill (Chelsea), Rachel Bowman (James), Megan Williamson (Cody); and great-grandchildren, Jordan Luther, Haley Lawson, Chloee Cooper, Jacob Edmondson, Lily Edmondson, Ava Sturgill, Isaac Sturgill and Sydney Bowman. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
