Albert Bud Staley

Albert Bud Staley, 89, of Asheboro died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jody Harrison and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Staley was born July 30, 1926 to the late Arthur and Alice Luck Staley. He was retired from York's Hosiery Mill and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Staley was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Sanders Staley and son, Jimmy Staley. Mr. Staley is survived by two sons, Burnice Staley and wife, Hazel, and Jeffrey Dean Staley, all of Asheboro; two sisters, Ann Summers of Asheboro, Lucy Jenkins of King; brother, Gene Staley of Denton; and granddaughter, Cynthia Annette Staley of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
