Aaron Lee Barefoot

Aaron Lee Barefoot, 45, of Sophia, died Friday, May 15, 2020, at High Point Medical Center in High Point. Aaron was born in Asheville, NC, on November 5, 1974. He was a truck driver and volunteered with the Sophia Fire Department. He loved to go fishing and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his mother, Harriett Lee Norris Douglas. Surviving are his wife, Amie Barefoot of the home; son, Allen Decausemaker of the home; father, Edwin Bailey Barefoot and wife, Ethel of Madison, FL; brothers, Eddie Barefoot and wife Suzette of Sophia, David Lanier and wife Deb of New Smyrna Beach, FL. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317; or to Sophia Volunteer Fire Department, 6740 US Hwy 311, Sophia, NC 27250.
