Paul Hampton Blake, 85, of Franklinville, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020, at his home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020, at South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, with Pastor Hugh Spaulding officiating. Paul was born on August 3, 1935, in Moore Co., to the late Locke Haywood Blake and Maude Smith Blake. He had graduated from Randleman High School, and had served in the U.S. National Guard. Paul had owned and operated his own business of Blake Motor Service. He was a dedicated worker, and he fished as hard as he worked. Paul even earned his piloting license and loved to fly. He loved his family and his church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Blake of the home; children, Sheryl B. York and husband Dennis, Michael Blake and wife Vicky; stepchildren, Rhonda Kirkman and husband Charlie, Julie Dixon and husband Wes; Jim Hammond and wife Denise; grandchildren, Brandon, Lockett, Zachary, Brandy, Tiffany, Laura, Becca, Ben, Ryan, Cole, Elliot, Sam; 15 great grandchildren; and his best friend and recliner mate, Howie. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16, 2020.
