Mike Nelson

Mr. Michael Allen Nelson, 60, of Seagrove, NC, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Howard Moffitt and Preacher Henry Craven officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Nelson was born December 10, 1951. He was employed with Energizer and he was a poultry farmer. He loved hunting, fishing, and making people laugh and he was also a devoted father. He was preceded in death by his father, J.A. "Pete"� Nelson. Mr. Nelson is survived by daughters, Michelle Nelson Delk, and her husband Scott, of Randleman, NC, Kristy Nelson, of Seagrove, NC; mother, Lesia Wilson Nelson, of Candor; stepmother, Betty Nelson, of Seagrove, NC; sister, Melesa Wright, and her husband, Doug, of Seagrove, NC; grandsons, Aaron Davis, of Seagrove, NC, and Andon Delk, of Randleman, NC; nieces, Nicole Gallimore and Brooks Wright. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, June 8, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
