Katherine Pass Edwards, 100, of Asheboro, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Mrs. Edwards was born August 17, 1917, in DeSota Parrish, LA., the daughter of the late John and Willie Cassell Pass. She was a member of Raywood Baptist Church where she organized a Senior Adult Ministry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, John Ziegler Edwards; son, John Louis Edwards; and daughter, Johnnie Winfred Lamb. Survivors include five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
