Julia Mcneill Williamson

Julia Geneva McNeill Williamson, 86, of Sophia, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at her home. Julia was born on July 26, 1933, in Randolph Co., to the late Elijah McNeill and Zora Yow McNeill. She had retired from Caraway Furniture. She loved her family, her dog and to cook. She was a loving wife and mother who always put her family first. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Raleigh McNeill, Jeffery McNeill, Roy McNeill, Odessa Anderson, Charles McNeill, and Sherrill McNeill. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Williamson of the home; daughter, Elaine Yates and husband Dean of Asheboro; sons, Kenneth Williamson of Sophia, Ray Williamson of Asheboro; granddaughter, Jennifer Auman; and great granddaughter, Chloe Auman. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, there will be a private graveside service at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, April 17, 2020. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Randolph Health for the care given to Julia. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
