Jackie Loflin

Jacqueline "Jackie" Marie Cochran Loflin, 70, of Denton, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 17, 2021, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ben Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook page. Jackie was born in Surry County, North Carolina on September 24, 1950. She was employed by Stedman's of Asheboro before attending, and graduating, Aurora Beauty College of Asheboro. After becoming a licensed beautician in the New Hope Community of Denton, Jackie began her own business: Jackie's Beauty Salon. Jackie was a member of Liberty Fellowship Church of Denton where she taught the senior adult Sunday School Class, and directed the choir for many years. Jackie loved working in her flower beds, on crafts, and on her poetry and songs that were inspired by the Lord. She loved to sing about the Lord and was a member of a gospel group. Mrs. Loflin was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Emmitt Cochran; sister, Sharon Cochran Sides; grandparents, Lloyd and Thelma Parks. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Lane Loflin of the home; daughter, Michele Loflin-Uhl and husband Mark of Asheboro; son, David Lane Loflin II and wife Gail of Ramseur; mother, Doris Parks Hughes; sisters, Annette Nash and husband Scott of Asheboro, Jeanne Swaney and husband Jimmy of Asheboro; grandchildren, Aaron Uhl, Jordan Uhl, Jessica Uhl, David Lane Loflin III, Landon Loflin, Delana Loflin, Luke Loflin; brother-in-law, Jim Sides; nieces, Megan Swaney Gribble, January Williamson, Regina Shaw, Sarah Johnston; nephews, Clark Sides, Kyle Nash, Corey Nash; several great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Loflin will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.
