Harold E. Sexton

Harold Eugene Sexton, 71, of Asheboro, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Knoxville, TN, Mr. Sexton was born April 11, 1945 the son of the late Wilfred and Charlotte Byrd Sexton. He was a co-owner of ART of Asheboro, LTD., for 27 years. He had also been an engineer with Rohm and Hass in the early 1970's, and Burlington Industries in the 1970's and 1980's. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his wife of over 30 years, Linda Sexton, his daughter, Sherrie Gwen Sexton, and his brother, Raymond Sexton. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene (Charly) Hemker and husband, Darrell, of Bartelso, IL; sons, James (Jimmy) Ferguson and wife, Brandy, of Wilson, John (Jack) Ferguson and fiancé, Janine Iaropoli, of Raleigh, Jeff Ferguson and fiancé, Cindy Whitehead, of Asheboro, Jay Ferguson and wife, Brandie, of Asheboro, John Marsh and wife, Robin, of Maryeville, TN, MSG Paul Marsh and wife, Jessica, of Clarksville, TN;,19 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
