Douglas "Doug" Richard Eaton, 69, of Asheboro, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Wooters officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham. Born April 23, 1949 in Mt. Airy, Mr. Eaton was the son of the late Richard and Sally Hooker Eaton. He was a member of Hoover's Grove Wesleyan Church. Mr. Eaton enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Linda Maulden Jones of the home; stepdaughters, Debbie Colley (Larry) of Ocean Isle, NC, Tracie Heslep (Gary) of Galax, VA; sister, Geneva Dockery (Ronnie) of King; and step-grandchildren, Mandy, Amber, David, Abby, April.
