Arthur F. Loflin

Mr. Arthur Flemming Loflin, 89, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Siler City Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Brian Hauk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Loflin was born June 24, 1924. He was the son of the late Edgar Townsend Loflin and Lillie Delilah Laughlin Loflin. He was retired from Randolph County Schools. He was a devoted husband. He enjoyed farming, gardening and singing. He loved nature, riding his tractor and his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Loflin; sisters, Mary Shilling, Rachel Richardson; brothers, Elmer Howard Loflin, S.T. Loflin and Colbert Herman Loflin. Mr. Loflin is survived by sisters, Virginia Foley, of Asheboro, Ollie Mae Holder, of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, 1530 Mt.
