Amos G. Begley

Mr. Amos Grant Begley, 93, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013, at East Side Baptist Church with Pastor Ray McCormick officiating. A native of Clayton, NM, Mr. Begley was born May 4, 1919. He was the son of the late Noah Jack Begley and Eva Ellen Mills Begley. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church and loved to read the Bible. He was self employed as a glass blower and neon sign maker. Mr. Begley served in the US Navy. Mr. Begley is survived by his wife, Katherine Begley; daughter, Karen Ross; step-daughters, Karen Marshall, Celeste Atkinson, Paulette Kincaid; son, Roy Begley; step-sons, Richard Mars, Brian Mars; sister, Margaret Peschke; brother, Carl Begley; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013, at East Side Baptist Church and other times at the home.
